Description
Rainbow Kribensis is a colorful dwarf cichlid admired for its vibrant body colours and striking red or purple belly, especially during breeding. Their attractive appearance and interesting behaviour make them a favourite among aquarium hobbyists.
Native Location
Native to slow-moving rivers and streams in West Africa, particularly in Nigeria and Cameroon.
Size
Grows up to about 8–10 cm (3–4 inches) in length.
Care Requirements
Rainbow Kribensis prefer aquariums with plants, caves, and hiding places. Ideal water temperature is 24–27°C. They adapt well to a range of water conditions and accept a variety of foods including flakes, pellets, and frozen foods.
Temperament
Generally peaceful but territorial during breeding. Suitable for community aquariums with similarly sized, non-aggressive fish.
