Description
The Green Lantern Platy is a vibrant variety of platy fish known for its bright green, glowing body coloration. Its lively behaviour and attractive colour make it a great addition to community aquariums and beginner setups.
Native Location
Platies originate from freshwater rivers and streams in Central America, mainly Mexico and nearby regions.
Size
Adult fish typically grow up to 4–6 cm (1.5–2.5 inches) in length.
Care Requirements
Green Lantern Platies are hardy and easy to care for. They thrive in aquariums with temperatures between 22–26°C and accept a wide range of foods including flakes, pellets, and frozen foods. A planted tank with open swimming space works well.
Temperament
Peaceful and active. They do well in community aquariums with other small, non-aggressive fish and are best kept in small groups.
