Description The Celestial Pearl Danio, often called the Galaxy Rasbora, is one of the most beautiful nano aquarium fish. Its dark blue body is covered with pearl-like white spots and bright orange fins, creating a galaxy-like appearance. This small but colourful fish is highly popular among aquarists for planted and nano aquariums.
Native Location Celestial Pearl Danios originate from small ponds and slow-moving waters in Myanmar (Burma), particularly around the Shan Plateau.
Size Adult fish grow to about 2–2.5 cm (around 1 inch), making them ideal for nano aquariums.
Care Requirements This species thrives in well-planted aquariums with gentle filtration and stable water conditions. Maintain a temperature of 22–26°C with slightly neutral water. They feel most comfortable when kept in groups of at least 6–10 fish.
Temperament Celestial Pearl Danios are peaceful and slightly shy. They do best in calm community tanks with other small, non-aggressive species and plenty of plant cover.
