Description
The Bentosi Tetra is a small, peaceful freshwater fish known for its silvery body with subtle orange-red coloration near the fins. Its active schooling behavior and calm temperament make it an excellent choice for community and planted aquariums.

Native Location
Native to slow-moving rivers and tributaries in South America, particularly in Brazil, Peru, and the Amazon basin, where it inhabits densely vegetated waters.

Size
Grows up to about 3–4 cm (1.2–1.5 inches) in length.

Care Requirements
Bentosi Tetras thrive in well-planted aquariums with gentle water flow. Ideal water temperature is 22–27°C with slightly acidic to neutral pH. They are omnivorous and accept flakes, micro pellets, and small frozen or live foods like daphnia or brine shrimp. Keeping them in groups of 6 or more encourages natural schooling behavior.

Temperament
Very peaceful and suitable for community aquariums with other small, non-aggressive fish. Their active schooling adds visual interest without causing stress to other tankmates.
